A bstract The relation between confinement scale Λ c of a gauge theory and the Hubble H background quasi de Sitter space, required to satisfy Festina Lente criteria (Λ ≳ ) from swampland principles, are investigated for holographic using Karch-Randall setup. purely gravitational description admits an unstable extremum, requirement translates into requirements perturbative dual, but prohibits arbitrarily small hierarchy other parameters fixed. With additional scalar sector, metastable minima, imposes constraints on parameters. For some range where could be constraining, minimum is very close decay, thus invalidating applicability. Further consequences finite lifetime dS extrema with related conjectures investigated, no contradictions found. These results make case consistency utility setup, clarify implications theories, connect conjectures.
